Thanks for your wonderful hospitality. This place is the nearest thing to heaven on earth for my family. And that was the best fried chicken I ever tasted!

Hi Mary Catherine, I first want to say THANK YOU so much for being such a very, very, very good friend. Please know that I have nothing but LOVE for you. Thank you for being there for me and my family. Thank you for not judging me, thank you for listening, thank you for being my friend, and THANK YOU FOR BEING A TRUE BLESSING IN MY LIFE. I wrote this for you after our visit today:
I had a visit with someone truly awesome, she has such a loving, compassionate and warm spirit, she helps a lot of people by doing whatever she can to help, even if it's getting up in front of a bunch of people she don't know to make a speech or drive 2 hours one way to give someone a ride, and countless other things. I feel so truly blessed to have her in my life, I have undying respect, care and love for her, I really don't know how to explain it, but have you ever gotten to know someone and wanted to be there in any way possible for that person? That's how I feel about her, her name is Mary Catherine so if you just happen to cross paths with her, please give her a BIG HUG for me.

My family faced the unthinkable when my brother was sentenced to death in Georgia. Throughout that extremely difficult time in our lives, we were surrounded by kind, loving people like Ed and MaryRuth Weir at New Hope House, who helped us navigate the many challenges of having a loved one on death row.

My family has been coming to New Hope House for many years, and we became good friends with Ed and Lora Weir. Now it is a tremendous joy for us to see Mary Catherine Johnson continuing the ministry. She maintains many of the traditions that the Weirs established, while adding many of her own that allow the ministry to thrive.
